Team Creation

For the 2026-27 season:

• Large groups of friends will be divided with a focus on competitive balance
• Friend Requests may not be honored
• Coach Requests will not be honored

Practice & Game Schedule

• Practice Nights: Each team will practice once per week (Monday-Thursday). There are no set practice nights on Fridays, but we sometimes use Friday night as a makeup for missed practices due to school closures.
• Game Days: Games will be held on weekends. Saturday for most divisions. Sunday night for the oldest boys’ division.

If you have a conflict with a specific practice night, you can indicate that during registration.

Fees

• Standard Fee: $200 for 2nd-9th grade divisions.
• Boys 10th-12th Grade: $150 – this division does not have weeknight practices, so the registration is discounted.

We encourage those who can to consider paying a bit extra to help cover the cost for families needing financial assistance. Our goal is for every kid in Durham who wants to play basketball to have the opportunity to join us.

Refund Policy

• 100% refunds will be granted until November 5th, 2026
• 50% refunds will be granted from November 5th-November 30th, 2026
• No refunds will be granted after December 5th, except in cases of extenuating circumstances, which will be reviewed and decided upon by the Board on a case-by-case basis.

Player Equipment

• Jersey: Provided for all players
• Basketball: Players are encouraged to bring their own size-appropriate basketball to practice. Size guide can be found here.

Divisions

Our divisions are separated by grade level, with separate boys’ and girls’ divisions for younger age groups. For high school players, we offer coed divisions:

Tentative Divisions for 2026-27:

*High school girls are encouraged to register and play in the “boys” coed division

*IMPORTANT NOTE Due to changes within the Woodcroft Board, this division is in need of additional parental representation. The Board will help with administration of the division, but an adult is needed to provide a presence during games and assist with score book. Without parental help, it is possible that this division will not be able to play this season.

Divisions are subject to change based on registration numbers.
