**As of Thursday, October 3, 2024 — the 2nd and 3rd grade girls’ division is currently on a waitlist.
**As of Wednesday, October 9, 2024 — the 4th grade boys’ division is currently on a waitlist.
**As of Thursday, October 17, 2024 — the 5th grade boys’ division is currently on a waitlist.
We cannot guarantee a spot once the waitlist has been published.
About Woodcroft Basketball
Woodcroft Sports offers recreational basketball programs for boys and girls in grades 2-12. Our league focuses on:

Team Creation
Based on our March 2024 end-of-season family survey, we received:
- 86 votes for balanced teams
- 86 votes for friend groups
For the 2024-25 season:
- Large groups of friends will be divided with a focus on competitive balance
- Friend Requests may not be honored
- Coach Requests will not be honored
Practice & Game Schedule
- Practice Nights: Each team will practice once per week (Monday-Thursday). There are no practice times on Fridays.^
- Game Days: Games will be held on weekends. Saturday for most divisions. Sunday night for the oldest boys’ division.
^If you have a conflict with a specific practice night, you can indicate that during registration.
Fees
- Standard Fee: $200 for all divisions
- Boys 8th-12th Grade: $150 – this division will only practice a few times throughout the season, so the registration is discounted
We encourage those who can to consider paying a bit extra to help cover the cost for families needing financial assistance. Our goal is for every kid in Durham who wants to play basketball to have the opportunity to join us.
Refund Policy
- 100% refunds will be granted until November 12, 2024
- 50% refunds will be granted from November 13-December 7, 2024
- No refunds will be granted after December 7th, except in cases of extenuating circumstances, which will be reviewed and decided upon by the Board on a case-by-case basis.
Player Equipment
- Jersey: Provided for all players
- Basketball: Players are encouraged to bring their own size-appropriate basketball to practice. Size guide can be found here.
Divisions
Our divisions are separated by grade level, with separate boys’ and girls’ divisions for younger age groups. For high school players, we offer coed divisions:
